About the Instructor

Michael Blattner has spent over a decade and a half as a paramedic, currently serving with distinction on Ladder 40. He has dedicated his career not only to providing exceptional emergency care but also to mentoring new paramedics, ensuring they are well-prepared for the demands of the field. His expertise extends to instructing vital courses such as Stop the Bleeding and Tactical Combat Casualty Care (TCCC), where he imparts critical knowledge and lifesaving techniques to his peers.

Michael holds numerous certifications, including:

• Tactical Combat Casualty Care (TCCC)
• Advanced Cardiac Life Support (ACLS)
• Pediatric Advanced Life Support (PALS)
• Prehospital Trauma Life Support (PHTLS)
• Rope Rescue Technician

In addition to his paramedic and instructional duties, Michael is an active member of the dive team, showcasing his versatility and dedication to public safety.
