Decision Tactical provides training for Law enforcement

Law Enforcement

First and foremost, D-TAC is a law enforcement training facility. We offer realistic, fully immersive training environments and courses for first responders and security professionals.

The Training

Law Enforcement

Engage in de-escalation and crisis situation training in mock buildings and realistic environments designed specifically for law enforcement, security officers and first responders.

Our Training Principles:

  • Trainees should not be limited to the confines of traditional simulators, which limit movement and reinforce bad tactical habits.
  • Police trainers should be trainers, not simulator operators.
  • Unreliable and unrealistic simulators get ridiculed by trainees. Immersion in realistic environments is critical for effective training.
  • De-escalation training must include immediate two-way responsive conversations that are not limited to pre-recorded options.
  • Repetition is key to learning and behavior modification, so training must be affordable enough to be repeatable.

The Difference

A Revolutionary Facility

D-TAC built the world’s most immersive scenario-based learning facility for first responders with the guidance of police subject matter experts.

All training takes place in our 43,000-square-foot Sanford facility, which features constantly evolving and customized scenarios that address critical decision-making skills. We also provide an onsite classroom for seminars and complementing training.

Serving:

The Outcome

Better Training for All Officers

Advanced training is only offered to elite units, like SWAT teams, which make up only 8% of law enforcement officers nationally. The remaining 92% of officers receive a tiny fraction of this training due to time and budget restrictions.

D-TAC overcomes both restrictions with breakthrough technology and operational efficiencies that provide better training at a fraction of the cost and time of alternatives.

Revenue generated from civilian visits is used to subsidize law enforcement training.
