Herfel Torres brings over three decades of hands-on experience in crisis management to his training. Throughout his career, he has applied the principles of situational awareness, de-escalation, and firearms proficiency in high-pressure situations. As a distinguished firearms instructor and competitive shooter, Herfel’s expertise is rooted in real-world application, ensuring that his training is practical, effective, and tailored to the challenges professionals face in the field.

With a passion for sharing his knowledge, Herfel has dedicated himself to teaching others the essential skills needed for safety and tactical excellence. He has trained law enforcement and security professionals in situational awareness, threat prioritization, and effective communication. Herfel’s teaching style is dynamic and engaging, fostering an environment where students feel empowered to learn and grow.

CREDENTIALS & CERTIFICATIONS

Herfel Torres holds a comprehensive array of credentials and certifications that affirm his expertise in law enforcement and firearms education. He is certified by the National Rifle Association (NRA) as a Private Security Firearm Instructor, Law Enforcement Firearms Instructor, and Certified Pistol and Rifle Instructor. Additionally, he is a certified NRA Law Enforcement Handgun Instructor from the Instructor Development School in Elmore County, Alabama, and holds both NRA Range Safety Officer Instructor and Chief Range Safety Officer certifications.

Herfel’s expertise also extends to GLOCK firearms, where he has achieved GLOCK MOS Instructor, GLOCK Instructor, GLOCK Operator, and GLOCK Advanced Armorer certifications. He is an accredited instructor for the Texas A&M Civilian Response to Active Shooter Events and holds a Medical Countermeasures Awareness certification for public health emergencies from Texas A&M. Additionally, his crisis management skills are certified through the S2 Safety & Intelligence Institute for both unarmed and armed security officer firearms.

In terms of professional licensing, Herfel possesses a Class D Security Officer License, a Class G Statewide Firearm license, and a Class K Firearm Instructor License in Florida, demonstrating his comprehensive legal authority and commitment to meeting rigorous standards.
