SEMINOLE COUNTY, Fla. —

A new tactical training center is open in Sanford, where people used to watch their favorite movies.

The theater near Seminole Town Center is now Decision Tactical.

Police officers and deputies can get tactical training using simulated weapons to better handle real-life situations that might arise during their shifts.

Citizens can also go visit the tactical training facility to better understand what goes on during a crisis.

“We want people to be more aware, more situational awareness. If something does come up, we certainly encourage, run, hide, fight, but if you are going to choose to own a firearm, we want to make sure you’re comfortable and can perform in that scenario,” said Jenna Winzenburg from Decision Tactical.

There’s also a gun range where people can practice marksmanship without any of the risks of live ammunition.
