Michael Blattner boasts an impressive 17-year tenure in pre-hospital medicine, with his entire career dedicated to Orange County Fire Rescue. Over the past decade and a half, he has honed his skills as a paramedic, currently serving with distinction on Ladder 40.

Throughout his career, Michael has not only been committed to providing exceptional emergency care but has also played a pivotal role in mentoring the next generation of paramedics. As a preceptor, he guides and supports new paramedics, ensuring they are well-prepared for the demands of the field. His expertise extends to instructing vital courses such as Stop the Bleed and Tactical Combat Casualty Care (TCCC), where he imparts critical knowledge and lifesaving techniques to his peers.

Michael’s dedication to continuous learning and professional development is evident in the numerous certifications he holds. These include Tactical Combat Casualty Care (TCCC), Advanced Cardiac Life Support (ACLS), Pediatric Advanced Life Support (PALS), Prehospital Trauma Life Support (PHTLS), and Rope Rescue Technician. These certifications underscore his comprehensive understanding of emergency medical care and his commitment to maintaining the highest standards in the field.
